Terms and conditions of electronic ticket sales.
The purchase of tickets can be done either by buying directly from the ticket office at the reception of CRETAquariun or through the e-ticketing service.
The ticket prices and the opening times of CRETAquarium – Θalassoκοsmos change according to the season. From the 1st of May to the 30th of September, the general entrance ticket costs 9 €. From the 1st of October to the 30th of April, the entrance ticket is reduced to 6 € for all visitors. The e-tickets that are purchased from CRETAquarium’s site are valid for 1 year and in accordance to the following conditions:
Please make a note of the following rules:
When a ticket is bought for use in the summer season (1st of May to 30th of September) and the visit is rescheduled for the winter season (1st of October to 30th of April), there is no refund for the price difference.
When a ticket is bought for the winter season (1st of October to 30th of April) and the visit is rescheduled for the summer season (1st of May to 30th of September), the visitor is obligated to pay the price difference at CRETAquarium’s ticket office.
The visitors that use the e-ticket service to buy tickets for their visit to CRETAquarium will receive an e-mail notification verifying the date of their visit and the names of the ticket holders as well as for the purchase of any additional services such as audio guides and the QR codes.
The ticket validation can be done by scanning the QR code straight from the visitors phone or tablet or from the printed e-mail with the ticket details, at CRETAquarium’s ticket office.
Cancellations and refunds.
There is no cancellation service.
In the case that the visitor cannot use their ticket for the date that it is booked, the ticket can be validated for another day, always within the year of purchase. There are no extra charges for rescheduling the visit through the e-ticket webpage service as long as it is rescheduled within the year of its original purchase.
Lost/stolen/destroyed tickets.
Lost, stolen or destroyed tickets cannot be reissued.
Transaction Safety.
All payments that take place with the use of a card (visa or debit) are processed through the "Alpha e-Commerce" e-banking platform of Alpha Bank which uses the TLS 1.1 encryption service with a 128-bit (Secure Sockets Layer - SSL) encryption protocol.
Encryption is a safe way to code information until it reaches its respective recipient who will then be able to decode it only with the use of a specific electronic key.
