Visiting the seabeds.
An educational and experiential tour through which students discover an unknown, alien and “alive” world: the world of the sea!
They learn about the seabed and the types of sea life, observe animals and their behaviors and spot similarities and differences. At the end of the tour the “little explorers” have learned a lot about the richness and variety of life in the wonderful world of the seabed.

Different worlds
“Us and the Sea” is an educational as well as an experiential tour, through which students get to know the world of the sea and the wealth it hides, in order to finally find out that maybe it is not so different from our own world.
With the students we discover elements of the seabed and marine life, compare them with the terrestrial world, but also with ourselves, and in this way we realize that the elements that unite us are much more than those that separate us.

Discovering the different marine ecosystems
The bottom of the sea is literally a world with a thousand faces. A world that includes different ecosystems, with different kinds of life.
In this educational and experiential tour we focus on 5 special ecosystems and the animal species they host.
Under the guidance of the CretAquarium teaching staff, students observe the special characteristics of the animals, so that they can then “guess” for themselves where each one “prefers” to live.

Understanding the evolution of marine organisms.
The sea is made up of many individual ecosystems which are home to a huge number of species.
During their evolutionary course, the various types of organisms adapted to meet their needs as best as possible, while making better use of environmental resources.
During the Ecosystems and Adaptations program students delve into the concepts of ecosystem and habitat. In this way they understand the evolution of marine organisms in order to be in perfect harmony with their environment.
